Hi guys, as we all know by now its no secret TRON LEGACY is coming to the big screen end of the year, which is the follow up to the all time great TRON. Filmed in 1982 by Steven Lisberger, which took film and animation to the next level, TRON is on the Soap-Box all time great film list and we think TRON LEGACY has got some pretty big boots to fill, but looking at this new trailer it just might be a boot filler check it out. We been talking about the whole versus thing for a while and between me and Benny we have had some crazy debates on the most impossible match ups (sometimes possible) for example Hulk vs. Superman, Thundercats vs. He-Man etc. So from now on we will be sharing these debates with you every week on a Monday.
Now i’m sure your all aware by now that we are huge gaming fans, well the fact is we always debate about the whole Street Fighter and Tekken series of games about, which is better and who has the better characters and so on. Only last week we were speaking about this with our good friend Mr MacReal (he will tell you it was hilarious) about which one is the greatest. Then hey presto from no where the announcement was made by Capcom and Namco over the weekend @ Comic Con that they will be collaborating to produce Street Fighter X Tekken (Note that it is not called Street Fighter vs. Tekken. The title is pronounced Street Fighter “Cross” Tekken, although in my eyes it looks like a vs.). Street Fighter X Tekken is being developed for both consoles but won’t be out for a while. Namco also said it is creating its own version of the game, Tekken X Street Fighter. Anyhow checkout the videos below and let us know your thoughts. Street Fighter X Tekken from Soapbox on Vimeo. Calling all sneaker heads or just people with a good memory or people showing a little age (like myself) I thought i’d share some sneakers that time forgot and take your memory back to the future with some proper oldskool brands, some of which still standing strong today. Gonna start off with the good old L.A Gear Lights, now if you had these back in the day then you was the ‘man’ (or girl). The trainer featured a bright red flashy light on the back of some dope ass hi tops. It was like a cartridge in the back which you could pull out to change the battery, now if those ran dry you were doing some major hotsteppin’ with a little foot express. Couldn’t find any pics of the trainer, however i did find a video of the ad. Enjoy! LA Gear Lights from Soapbox on Vimeo. A next one i remembered from way back was the Patrick Ewing 33, all i actually remember from these was that they were huge, couldn’t find any pics of the black suedes but these will do i guess;-)
I was really trying to stay away from Nike, but i have not seen these in years, well not over here in the UK anyway. I introduce to you the Nike Air Raid with millions of colours. Check the pics and the ad with Spike Lee.

And for the best of the rest we have British knights, Fila and Troop, soon as i think of some more i will hunt down pics and post or if you remember some let us know;-) oldskool is the best skool. Peace!

A few weeks back we had a special post about Lift One Finger well, to follow on from that Sturban Clothing with the help of Tricksta and Park St PR are producing a FREE music download called “Lift One Finger” and all proceeds are going to Youth Music. How’s that work I hear you shout? OK for weeks now we have been spouting off about the concept of Lift One Finger basically getting of your fat lardy one and doing something, not for yourself but for something you feel passionate about. Now like me you gotta love music everybody loves music not all the same kind but it’s primeval and how many times have you heard an artist say if it wasn’t for music they would be robbin’ grannies or in prison? So in the spirit of Lift One Finger we are putting together a free download with big artists and exclusive tracks and if you want to help support music you can give a donation of any amount and 100% will be going to Youth Music So keep your ears peeled, for news will be breaking about who’s on it and who’s involved.
